Anyone have info on this position? What kind of applicant experience does PFPA typically look for in 1811s? What specialized experience makes applicants stick out amongst the others for this gig?

I'm not sure either but same. I put in also. Thankfully it says many vacancies at two locations which are only about 20 min apart.

I doubt CID will lose the protective service mission to PFPA. But, if it does....it's a huge loss for CID, professionally and politically.

Kraut0783 I've seen some of the email traffic and powerpoint briefs. High level leadership is looking to move OSD/JCS protection to PFPA, and CID would retain protection for Army leaders. It's being looked at as part of the restructure from "Command" to "Division".

parkscout93 information. Army CID is pulling from most protection details, and in the Pentagon’s case, PFPA is taking over. If I was searching to get into the 1811 career field, this may be a good chance.

Wow...that would be a huge loss for CID, but....it happens. Good for PFPA for taking the initiative.

Hoping being a federal employee and former LEO helps me at least get the ball moving.

Not referred. Not exactly sure what I'm missing as far as qualifications. Pretty disappointing, oh well.

I'm curious too -- what do they want?

I am a military veteran with a bachelor's degree (high GPA). I am at the end of an extensive law enforcement career, including multi-disciplinary investigative experience and comprehensive supervisory background.

I was referred for Gs7 as well.(Military reservist/Intel, and multiple years of federal background investigation experience, Corrections experience , plus I have a TS/SCI).
I don't know much about the job though, tried looking online but their isn't much out there. I'm assuming you need to travel to the Pentagon for all of the hiring steps? I live in FL so it would be nice if they have a expedited hiring event.

I went to CITP with a few PFPA guys/gals. They said it was mostly protection of the SECDEF, investigation threats to the Pentagon, and handling felony investigations relating to the Pentagon campus. Back the journeyman was GS12 and the bulk of the 1811s came from the uniform side of PFPA.
