I am in the process and I will share my status:

Applied: 02/02/2022
Phase I: 02/04/2022
Phase I Results: 03/25/2022 (7 weeks)
Phase 2: 04/08/2022
Phase 2 Results: 05/14/2022*** (5 weeks)

***There's limited discussion on the Federal Soup, but a couple of us got an email yesterday that sounds like indication of a pass. It reads almost like the original eligibility/referral email, but it doesn't indicate one way or another that we passed. However, it sounds more like a pass than a fail, if anything, and it's right around the timeline I'm expecting to hear results.

I hope this helps. From what I've read online, this timeline is pretty consistent with other people's experience. Application to Phase 1 results is about 6-8 weeks. Phase 2 to results is about 6 weeks. It does seem that Phase 3 interviews come pretty quickly though.

Yeah I got those emails as well. I was just sittin there reading it like, “so did I pass.” Last time I was in the process tho, I failed the first exam and got an email saying I failed.

From what I heard, they give that HR persons email to everyone. I can’t imagine how many emails that person has.

Can anyone comment if the referral for interview is from the office that will be your POD or is that determined once you get the TO?

You do get a calculator. You will be fine if you met the educational requirements to take the test.

Got my rejection on this one. Didn’t meet the Ed reqs. Was hoping my finance/Econ stuff would help towards the three credit hours short, but apparently not. What evs.

Weird how they let you take that before they determine if you're qualified. Did they have the accounting questions on there too? Was wondering if the KASE is just a more formal version of the online assessment.

what is the work life balance like for IRS CI? I hear its 50 hours mandatory. idk about u guys but 10 hour days feel like u spent the entire day at work and would come home like around 7pm-ish.

Former agents have told me it's good for being not a tiny agency, but not as laid back as most OIGs.

Depends on office. My office makes u work the full 50 each week.. but they give u 3 hours for pt
