Does anyone know what the physical standards for ssa criminal investigators are? What kind of training is required ? What is required to pass the training?

I do not believe the SSA OIG administers their own physical fitness test. You'll be required to attend, and pass the Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) at FLETC. You'll have to pass PT in CITP, along with firearms training, and several academic tests administered throughout CITP. After CITP, most OIG agents go back to FLETC and attend the IG Academy, which is a three-week course specific to the types of investigations OIG agents conduct.

Applying for these OIG gigs with 1 vacancy is a waste of time in my opinion. They usually already know who they want to hire and it is someone internal within the agency.

Yep, have never heard back on a single vacancy OIG job. Aside from entry-level vacancies, sounds like they only want people who already have been to CITP, to save money and time.
