  • cj degree what can I do with it

I just got my degree in criminal justice what civilian jobs can I get?

  • #2
Any job in the criminal justice field. Some entry level jobs in security aspects (not security guards). Basically, any job that does not require a degree for the knowledge it coveys.

Before anybody gets their panties in a bunch about my last comment, let me explain. There are jobs that you must have a certain amount of knowledge, like doctors, lawyers, and rocket scientists. These jobs require a degree, because you must have extensive knowledge before you can do the job. Other jobs like LE and sales request a degree for the maturity is shows, but not necessarily the job knowledge it conveys. A CJ degree falls into the latter category, in that it more or less conveys maturity, time management and other intangibles, not any appreciable amount of job knowledge.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

Go up to the county courthouse and look at job postings. There are positions in DA offices, Judges clerks, and other admin type jobs you could apply for.

lol there is a lot you can do with a criminal justice degree. Someone posted the same topic here http://forums.officer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62923 , where I helped them. But some more advice. Since your in Miami go to https://peoplefirst.myflorida.com/logon.htm , either go to logon or search for jobs in all of Miami or search for jobs all over Florida.

For example if you go here https://jobs.myflorida.com/joblist.h...j4sf6so3w1.JS2 all you have to do is click "Search for jobs in any locaton in Florida." Then click search. Once that is done look for a job category that you're interested in. Example :Therapy and Counseling. Make a application online then go from there. God Bless!

As a matter of fact, they're hiring for a Child Protective Investigator in Miami now here https://jobs.myflorida.com/viewjob.h...ERFormCode=any , it can be rough but its your choice.
