Was the TO the email link from OPM with the series, grade, location on it? I never saw anything else about the job, but sent back BI paperwork and now drug screening.

Your TO is a link in the invitation to continue email that they send all the security docs in. You have to click it and go accept it.
-
Can u go back and look at your TO again?
-
Armyretire you can if you still have the email with the instructions on how to get to it. Did you accept it already with the location they offered? I didn’t see the link until someone here pointed it out a while after I received it.
-
I'm not sure. Is it the onboarding link?

It was the TO. I never clicked on the “welcome” tab only the “tasks” tab. Been stressing out since 12/22 for no reason, lol.
Apply 10/25
Interview 12/5
TO/BI paperwork 12/22
Fingerprints sent 12/23
Drug Screening 1/4

Got the Eqip invite this morning. If I'm not mistaken, an SSBI takes up to 6 months. When I was in the service a hundred years ago, it took 3 years, but I know that's been shortened. Anyone have an approximate time frame for EOD without an active clearance? I have another offer thats a second choice and more of a fallback. But if this is going to be 12 months, I may accept that one in the meantime.

I only had a 7 day time frame to submit it. Luckily I was pretty well prepared and had all the information ready and waiting, so I was able to submit it same day. You may want to go ahead and get your information together if you haven't already, so you can get it submitted quickly. I'm sure yours is coming.
Side note: it came from an investigator at Personnel Security at ATF, not USAStaffing or OPM, so check your spam folder.

I interviewed back In September. They called and had me come in a couple days later to fill out a couple forms. Thought it went well but haven't heard anything since.

Did you reapply in October? Some announcements don’t get funding, certificates expire, etc. But we also have another here that interviewed in June and is still waiting for a tentative offer, they told them he is still being considered. This is the worst part of the job that I can see, the process to get in.

I interviewed 12/22/22, and just received an email from usastaffingoffice an hour ago stating that I was found eligible. Is that a good sign that it might start moving?

Everyone that applied should have received one. My understanding is that is a required update email OPM has to send out a certain amount of time after each announcement closes. Going back in this thread, it didn’t mean anything. Mine said I was eligible and selected, they go off whatever your profile says when they send it out, whether it’s referred, selected, or not referred. If you haven’t received the email “invitation to continue” from USAStaffing, that’s the one you want to see.
-
If you never received the “your eligible” email from the posting you applied for- this might be it. That happens quite often. Sometimes the interview comes before the USAJobs notification.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean anything for the posting you interviewed for, in terms of things moving forward.
Have you applied for multiple postings? If you have, this says you’ve made the BQL and you’re eligible for an interview.

I received an "eligible" email as well from USAjobs for the October 2022 announcement. Are they possibly pulling more people for interviews? It appears they wrapped up interviews for this October announcement or not? Or was that from the February 2022 announcement? Thank you.

Eqip invite received this morning. Also said one of the documents they sent in the initial security packet was outdated and I have to redo it.

So I passed the interview on Dec 13 and filled out background paperwork. I emailed it on 23 dec and set finger print by FedEx on Dec 30 ( due to holiday) (signed for in DC) Has been a while now and haven't heard anything else. Couldn't even get tem to respond to email to confirm they got my paperwork. I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue.Last edited by Armyretire; 01-25-2023, 11:09 AM.

It’s a hurry up and wait game. You got selected and a TO, which is a good start. I got drug test email after a week, they wrote me on 1/12 stating I needed to correct 2 forms I had sent in, (one was outdated), and also provided the EQIP link. There are others who interviewed in July and have been told that they are still going to receive a TO but haven’t yet. Just a waiting game.
