2020 FLETC CITP COVID-19 Updates

Post updates on any news you hear of when FLETC will resume in 2020. According to the NCIS form, rumor has it that no classes at FLETC for CITP until 2021.

I just moved into the background investigation for an application to an 1811 position (not NCIS). The agent doing my investigation said August would be the absolute best case scenario for CITP starting back up...and that the people who were sent home would have priority when it does re-open.

If it's anything like the Government shutdown at the end of 2018 they will bring classes back incrementally, starting with classes who can get everyone there first. They will resume training at the closest test, for example if you just finished test 3 at CITP you will resume at Test 3.

First, they have to bring back the CITP Trainees who were there and sent home. Some where there as little as 4 days. The earliest those folks would go back is mid-May. There is no definitive answer on when operations will resume.

I was scheduled to start CITP at the end of April. My agency still had us register but we’re waiting on further guidance. Under any scenario it seems unlikely to me they’ll reopen and get back to full capacity during this quarter.

I think it’s more of a “this is your class schedule if everything returns to normal but be ready for further delays if everything stays closed” type of thing.

It will likely reopen just in time to be evacuated again for a hurricane.

Just a PSA. Don't get your hopes up for a certain month to get to Fletc. With multiple states extending stay at home orders into May I'd guess Fletc opens earliest in July and then shuts down again when wave 2 hits.

Wave 2 or someone ends up being positive for it on center after they reopen. Oh and don't forget hurricane season.

FLETC classes are going to be recalled in the next couple weeks starting with those who were closest to graduation. They will also be quarantined for 2 weeks with the intent to resume training in June.

Just to add, students will be restricted from stepping off center until they graduate.

My understanding was that restrictions could ease up depending on federal guidance etc. Makes sense right now but by the time some classes get back may not anymore.

Anyone have any idea how many students can be on center at one time? I heard during this time, they will be restricting the total student count to 900. Seems like a lot.

Fletc is quite large it's like a college campus building spread out all over the place.

900 isn't alot when they usually have 3-5K at any given time depending on how many are staying in hotels

I heard 800 yesterday. No new classes this year. No advanced classes. 14 day quarantine and starting back with those closest to graduating.
