So far it seems hard to gauge. The letter from the interview said the pre-employment process can take another eight months. From info session to interview was about six months for me. Doesn't seem to be a ton faster than previous cycles. I think if they can shorten the process up, it might be in how quickly people are slotted for FLETC classes.

I believe it was my master's. At the time I didn't have LEO experience on my resume, but did have a law degree and a few years of experience.

Is the upgrade to 7 based only on LEO experience or can a master's do it?

Got an email asking for my DD214, SF-15 and vet preference sheet. I did upload it in my initial application.

TOL received for GS-7. Current fed LEO (but wasn't on my app in December), was in the National Guard (not considered a veteran though), have a law degree and a few years of prosecution experience.
