Abdul2 I think I'm in the same boat as you. I've done everything except the drug and FIT test. I emailed about the drug test a few months ago and got the generic "we'll contact you when we do" response. I don't know if my background was adjudicated either. I wish there was more transparency on their end.

Abdul2 email the DUSMexam and ask for a status update. They'll reply with your adjudication dates. I cleared in December of 2020. I found out after emailing them. I'd caution about emailing them to much. I get the sense folks are blowing them up and the get frustrated lol.

Abdul2 Technically it cleared in a few months. I didn't find out until I emailed them. They don't seem to reach out a keep you up to date. Like, I don't know if my background is finished or not. It's been about 10 months since I completed the initial interview with the background interview.

2018 November Info. Could not apply due to failed assessment 5 months prior.

4/24/20: emailed by DUSM if still interested respond and accept invite to application.
4/28/20: Assessment
5/18/20: Referral
7/1/20: Interview
7/23/20: Tentative Offer
10/13/20: Medical
5/5/21: Equip
6/29/21: Background Adjudicated - 2020 ESH (wave 1) applicant
11/21/21: Medical Cleared — replied with Vax Card in response to try and get ahead of that email.

Supposedly the rumor is all medicals are being held off on being cleared until all 2019 Wave candidates have been cleared. The purpose being to clear the backlog of cleared candidates first.

I'm in the 2020 hiring wave. I did my medical in Nov 2020. It was cleared a few months after. I emailed them about something else and they sent me my cleared dates.

How you find out your BI cleared? They send you an email? In Sept HR emailed me.saying I was still I the process but did not update to BI or Medical.

USMS does not lateral people from other agencies. To the best of my knowledge all new hires must complete BDUSMI.

Been quiet here lately…Anybody who attended info session and applied late 2020 have any movement on the process beyond passing the background? Mine cleared in October ‘21 and haven’t heard anything since then. I know they have been busy scheduling the first two academies, just wondering if anyone from our batch of applicants has had any other movement.

There is no rhyme or reason to how they pick and choose my buddy is slotted for February class he was 2019 wave 4 and got picked for February it's basically like if a district wants you they pick you no rhyme or reason we could be cleared for years but still never hear back the process is a wild luck of the draw.

Yeah only 6 classes this fiscal.

Jan, Feb, April, June, July, August.

Supposedly they are shooting for 1K hires in FY’23 out of sheer necessity.

That 1700 number sounds off me. If the academies stay at 6 a year, then it will take like 5 ¹/² years to clear out the current hiring pool. Then again, this hiring process has been jacked up from the start. So maybe that makes more sense.

hooligan551 yeah I emailed exam and asked to see if my medical was updated or cleared. The response I got was still an active applicant and we have 1700 plus in pre employment processing as of right now. Please be patient as we are still having effects in hiring form COVID you will be contacted if we need anything further. I know it's weird but this is what was said. Then again The whole process is a wild ride.
