So a recruiter in Texas told me they are having them in the end of July. NYC, CA, Texas and NC, i cant remember where else.
I reached out to a recruiter in NC this last week and he told me the Information session was pushed back because of COVID. He has not heard anything from HQ. But i was not able to check with NYC. I cant wait to try out again for them. Good luck to all, in glad this thread is here.

Starting to think that these info sessions won't be in August after all. It appears that no one has been notified yet.

Doesn't look like it. At this point I'll be happy to start the process by the end of this year.

Heard they had to have their info session plans in back in July and still awaiting word on the info session dates. Who knows if they will have them anytime soon especially in NYC? I would guess people would come from other states to attend and with most states required to do the 14 day quarantine when entering NY... How is it possible?

Talked to three different recruiters from different regions. They said that USMS HQ has not approved dates/locations yet. The deputy marshals I spoke to said that they can't do anything until HQ makes some decisions, and that it's possible we won't have new sessions until late 2020 or even early 2021. The number of USMS academy classes are also being limited due to COVID19.

Which parts of the application process do you have to physically be present for (information sessions, medical, etc...). I assume some protocols may change due to COVID, but traditionally, can anyone line me out on this?

I have a job offer that will restrict my ability to be flexible for travel. I want to explore the obligations for the USMS process before I accept said offer.

The recruiter in my region e-mailed almost 100 people and said that, most likely in October, there will be several information sessions we'll be able to attend. It seems that they are doing more sessions with smaller groups due to COVID, versus one big session like they did in 2019.

He also said that they are not accepting any more applicants at this time. The group that he e-mailed (for our state) is the only group that will be invited to the info sessions, until next year.

          Update:

Scheduled for 2 separate information sessions in 2 states, but in the same USMS region. I was told that the info session you attend is specific to that state and you must attend multiple sessions to be considered for different states. Different than in 2019.

I spoke to someone from admin yesterday, and they said that there's no advantage to attending more than one information session for the same announcement. I talked to a DUSM in the SW region who said the same thing a couple months ago. I don't know if that's accurate, but it's what I heard from two different sources.

I think your information is likely more accurate. The deputy who told me my info didn't sound 100% sure.

I hope it's accurate...because I can't get enough time off work to go to more than one (I had asked to be on the list for three of them, and got two invites today). I did hear though that there's no disadvantage to going to two different information sessions for the same job announcement. But it doesn't create a boost, since it's the same announcement.

I was told by both people though that it's good to go info sessions for two different job announcements though. That's like being in two different hiring cycles.

Just one and the latest is you will be considered for the region you attend the IS in. Usually multiple states within a region.
