Hi guys, I have been lurking here getting bits of info which has been helpful. I applied to the January 2009 announcement and have completed all steps except the drug test. I imagine that should be any day now.

Has anyone heard of an academy date past Aug. 12? I am hoping to stay in Florida and asked for the Keys or Tampa. I worked five years for the old FMP in Marathon and Key West. Keeping my fingers crossed. God bless all of you and stay safe.

Just wondering if anyone is expecting a call this week for EOD? I just finished my drug test last week and was told today that I will be getting my firm offer this week. Also........is anyone going to Tampa, West Palm, or Ft. Myers. Thanks

Workload of your investigator, complexity of your background, priorities, etc. BI's will generally vary from anywhere between 3-18 months.

Hey whats up guys. I have been following this forum for a while and finally got access to reply to posts. I applied last nov announcement and got the offer on Feb. and heading to Erie Pa. in July. Is there anybody else heading to Erie station or lives there. I wanted to know how Erie is. Congratulations on everybody that got picked up for the job and for people that are waiting hang in there.

I leave for the academy soon and have spent the last week and a half at the branch office. The word I heard today was that the lady that processes the files to the next step was out for a while and the work load was being absorbed by others in her office. I believe she is back now and even got a bunch of files moving on so things should start catching up. Hang in there its worth it.

Once your investigation is cleared and sent to HC, about how long does it take for you to hear something??? I have talked with my investigator and got word that the only thing left is for the supervisor to check it and send it off....Time still ticking...Hope to be heading to Marathon!

Mine took about 3 weeks.............I've been all checked off in CASS for 2 weeks, still waitin on my call. I talked to MHC on Monday and was told that they are currently working on the September academy and that it is about half full so I think you may still make that acadamy. Just my opinion.
