I started the process back in Oct 24th of last year and got a firm offer letter on April 21st to report to Hammond on June 22nd. Duty location will be Houma Louisiana. Anyone else assigned there or can tell me how things are there?

I applied for the november announcement under public announcement. I wonder if they are going through the BI's by alphabetical order...If anybody knows anything please let me know. How many people applied for south florida openings? any help would be highly appreciated.

I applied in Oct and did my BI in March. They moved pretty fast I felt once the ball got Rollin. It seemed like I would hear for them and then a month of nothing and then hear something then nothing. It was like that the whole process. Patience is a virtue I never had but learned it quickly with this process.

I have been reading these blogs for several months now but chose not to post for personal reasons. But i wanted to thank all of those who did post. Especially Boat22 and the other regulars. Thank you also to the Vets and senior CBP guys and salty dogs for reaching out to us MIA boots. The waiting and waiting for news is excruciating. The smallest bit of information from you guys has eased the tension incredibly. It reminds everyone that the process is still moving forward and that all hope is not lost. Many of us still have a while more to wait but with guys like you spreading word everyday, it'll be here before we know it. So again, thanks to all those who have been posting these last few months and good luck to everyone in the process. Stay strong and be safe.

Well....for all those that thought there was a hiring freeze, it doesn't look like it. A new MIA announcement just broke.

It just seems like IA is slow at putting out selectee announcements. Patience everyone....

I applied to November announcement also, got my COE January 12th, my BI was submitted about a month ago. The announcement was 222817. I applied for Ft Pierce, West Palm, and Ft Lauderdale, FL. No firm offer yet. Just passing on what I got. Good Luck guys.

I have no idea how they are making their calls. I believe that it may be in the order that all of the requirements are fulfilled. I got my background completed around the last week in Feb.

I received my call on April 27.

If your CASS says that you are referred for scheduling then you should've heard something by now. I never hesitate to give them a call. They are very patient and informative. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
