Security Clearance Transfers to DOD

The article is pretty informative. It’s been a topic but was formally adopted through the EO. I’m not addressing the minor details. Just the fact that current investigations are still through their original entity for the next several months.

The transition won't begin until 6/24 and is expected to be fully implemented by 9/24. Many agencies already fall under the scope of the DOD. It also appears that the clearance requirements could become more stringent in scrutinizing a candidates background and eligibility for trust.

The transition process has been ongoing for the last year. Planning between the two agencies has laid out all the framework of how it’s going to happen. Only thing was left was the green light.

Continue evaluations Are going to be the primary focus with regards to how back on investigations are conducted.

DOD (or DCSA) will be handling the clearance process for 95% of the government. Trump just signed the Executive Order tonight.
