Send an email to [email protected] and ask them which districts have upcoming information sessions. They'll direct you to regions hiring and the district recruiting email.

Reach out to a recruiter. If you can get a hold of one, you'll attend an informational session and start the very long hiring process. They are generally always hiring, but they hire under a different authority than other agencies, so you won't see a USAJOBS posting - you have to be invited by a recruiter. Go on the website, find your closest office and reach out to the recruiter there.

Crash Cart I had my information session in July of
2019 and still haven’t heard anything back as far as an interview ... safe to say I’m not the only one? Should I just focus on attending a new one?

Did you fill out the questionnaire at your info session? I was under the impression that as long as you met requirements, they would at least give you a chance to test/interview (depending on the first step after the info session).

Does usms ever hire at gl9 or only gl7?

GL-7 is the highest if your not prior Federal. Prior Federal - highest you come in is GL-7 Step 10. You only retain your pay grade if it’s a true lateral only posting but they stopped doing those.

At my info session, after we finished the questionnaire, the DUSMs had to digitally sign and send the questionnaire to HR. As he stood over me, he wrote something like "Referred" or "recommended" (I don't recall which one) in a text box before submitting the form. As I understood it, if you meet the qualifications, at the very least, you'll proceed to the next step. I could be wrong though.

Historically, it has taken 30-60 days from the information session for invites to go out. Should be any day now.

October info session here (26th). No word yet. I'm region 1 by the way.

Region 7 here, I did my info session in San Diego. Hope we all hear something soon. Although it looks like I'll probably need to withdraw -- waiting on my medical clearance and a final offer for US Probation.

Actually got a response from the "DRHB Team" at the exam.doj email address for a change. I've probably emailed them at least once a month for the past 6 months and this is the first time I've gotten a response. They said I was still active and they were waiting on medical / background. I haven't heard from any background investigator as of yet. I resubmiited the OF306 and other forms today just to make sure they received them.
