I just got a medical email today, but it wasn't some formal notification. The email said to just call this lady back lol. No mention of E-qip or fp cards. Idk if that has anything to do with the fact I was a prior DO but finally some news!

Question- after reading all these posts I noticed that my hiring process has been different from everyone else. I applied on USA jobs, I was referred, given tentative offer, completed equip, medical, and just received email saying my background as been processed and approved for the next step. At no time was I asked for placing considerations and or interviewed. So with all that what is the next step?

So your next step is most likely your interview at one of the offices you selected. After that comes the COE, and then the meet and greet with your investigator and/or polygraph if you're selected to take it. I'm not sure if it's all people but when I was hired it wasn't everyone.

Went to Texas to Poly. Was told to wait for Quality control to review your answers and report… if scheduled for second exam would I be interested with same guy…. I had a top secret clearance before and a current LEO for the Feds… this can’t be real life

Wow. When I took my poly in 2018, THEY flew from TX to King of Prussia PA. I'm from NJ too so I only had to drive an hour and a half.

Took my medical today, did my drug test and TB test on Friday. Does anyone how soon you’ll be scheduled after the medicinal for the PT test at a field office?

Offer was rescinded today due to not completing my poly lol. Was a marshal before, fed officer, and DHS employee. He said I might get ready scheduled but said I failed for today on Monday bc I was hiding or withholding something. This can’t be real, but good luck to all!!! Never signed an affidavit for omitting or anything, so I thought it was a joke.

No idea why they are doing polys on current feds. Such a waste of money and time. Not to mention you have people having to go to another state to do one for ICE.

Most of us in CBP are trying to go the ERO route for the shortened academy but now they are making it more annoying to get thru the hiring process. Might as well just go HSI and do another full academy at this rate.

What part of the process did you find out if you were selected for the Poly or not? I haven’t done PT yet, had to get re cleared medically for vision which is a pain because I have 20/20 but the lady filled out the form wrong. And BI called and said everything looked good with my packet, just trying to see because I really don’t want to have to fly to Texas.

Looks like everyone is going to TX for it. Hope it’s not as high of a fail rate as Border Patrol’s poly, because we will lose at least half of us to that machine. Even us with TS and Secret clearances.

Hey guys, been following this thread for a while. Honestly forgot all about this application till I had to go get the bloodwork and fingerprints done.
received an email this morning stating that my “case has been moved onto EOD” whatever that means.
Still waiting on the medical and vision appointment, which I’m assuming is next. But you never ever know with hiring now a days.

Bro I never did a pt portion in my medical. So who knows anymore. This process is everywhere. Some poly, some don’t, some pt test, some don’t.

Finished my medical today and was told everything looked good by the doc just got to submit everything and send it in tomorrow. Already completed my drug test 2 weeks ago. Sent in my e-qip and fingerprints 2 months ago. think im just waiting on my BI and notification of poly or not.

I have poly in January, don’t know how I feel about it. BPs poly was the most invasive, time consuming thing I’ve ever done in backgrounds and I’ve been a cop for 3 different agencies. Poly takes about 45 mins to an hour with county and city, then 6 hours for BP, smells fishy.
