    Referred for Houston, TX.

Anyone know if a polygraph is required for everyone applying or is it random?

So I’ve been searching for all the locations for ERO and field offices. I’ve looked at the website but I know there are more small offices then it shows. Anyone know all the locations in Atlanta and Carolinas?

    Good Morning

I recently received notification through email that I was referred for both GS-5 and GS-7 for Newark, NJ

First time through ICE's hiring process, anyone have any insight on next steps? Maybe some tips? Yes, I read the previous 4 pages of posts

Congratulations! This process is lengthy and there is still quite a bit pending before it’s official. Being referred does not confirm selection so at this point you need to wait for a TSL. If that arrives you will be required to begin all your pre-employment requirements (medical, fitness, etc) from there you just wait for an EOD/academy date. The best thing I suggest is get all your stuff ready for your background, start working out, and be ready. I know people who were referred but still have received no information in regards to selection even after 6 months so it’s gonna take some patience.

Wow!!! That is intense! Thank you very much for the well wishes
What exactly is a TSL I am waiting for?

ERO job it's self is a lot of paperwork, so if your looking for high speed low drag you might want to try another agency.. Just saying!!!

Yes... the job is heavy on paperwork. There is much more knowledge of the law, policy and regulations needed as a Deportation Officer than any other Immigration Officer on the enforcement side (Border Patrol Agent, CBPO).

Got referred to Minneapolis for GS-5 and GS-7. How long is the process? I'm in the process for BP as well and already done with background and medical.

From what I've heard from other people who have been picked up say 6 months is about the norm to get EOD, but it can as soon as 4 months. It all depends if the government shuts down then for sure the process will take longer. Let's all hope they pass the FY19 budget by December 7th!!!

Do they send out TSL after background and polygraph (if applicable) or before?

I know from a friend that is in the academy said be looking for the TSL around 2 or 4 weeks after you have been referred. Then the process begins from Medical and PFT, Drug test and possibly Polygraph along with Background Investigation. Hope this helps you out if you have more questions DM.

Still too early I think for a call or TSL. Maybe in a week for two we’ll hear something. In the meantime, anybody get referred to Minneapolis FO?

I think he got it yesterday, posted it, its from this announcement. He did mention that he had previously went through the whole process and obtained an EOD, but declined, so maybe all his stuff is just going to transfer over.

Yea his previous process might have helped - but still means they are looking .
It’s very close to holiday season- so don’t be expecting process to move fast. Also it Depends on the office.

For what I know, only NY and Federal employees are been picked first.
