Well, I passed the written test and go in for an interview this Saturday. I'm partially nervous because I've never worn a suit to an interview before

Other than that, I really don't want to get ahead of myself but, but the problem is.. I have asthma (under control) - will this disqualify me?

This was, I believe, just addressed in the last coupla weeks here on officer.com You might want to try a forum search (see the word "Search" with a down triangle arrow in the blue field just below your "Welcome Chounch McGavin" message? Type in "asthma" and see what you get. You can even add in more detail if you click on the "advanced" button after you click on "search." Pretty neat.)

Anyhow, I belive the general consensus was that no, controlled asthma is not an automatic DQ, but I didn't really pay that much attentionto the thread so you might want to read through it yourself.

chounch, there is also a forum for the "LASD Process" that has good insight in the process. it may not cover this question in particular but it will help you thru the rest of the process.
