Apparently they don’t know anything about who made it in the academy. I told him I put my notice in and he didn’t even know MPD sent emails out.

I called earlier this week and the police and fire commission stated they were waiting on a few more psych and drug test, which they said they should have gotten by the end of this week. So if you haven't heard anything, you're likely in. If you still don't feel comfortable, I would call them Monday or Tuesday and see if they got all the results back.

Does anyone know how long it takes Red's to tailor the uniform?

I called them last week to find out they told me about a week .. so I’m going today after work to get fitted and to get my uniform out the way so it could be ready next week .. Next week is the last week before the academy starts and I don’t want to take any chances of not having that uniform ready .. I got fingerprinted and picture taken Thursday and found out it’s another academy class starting in July ..

What did you wear when you got your photo taken? I go in Wed to get fingerprinted and pic.

They have shirts there for you to put on all different sizes .. I’m not to sure if it was a police officer uniform shirt but it was similar to one .. I know for sure it wasn’t a recruit shirt ....

Just got back from the tailor, got my hat, belt and tie. Was told my stuff will be in sometime next week. And the rest of the apparel is bought through the academy.

You spent 198? The lady at the cashier told me I just had to pay for the uniform and that the rest is bought at the academy?

Mines came out to $122 ... They lady said new recruit get 20% off the store !!

Right lol. So I'm ok just wearing a t shirt and jeans when I get my picture? Since they have a uniform they want you to wear?

Yeah .. you don’t wear the whole uniform just the shirt .. the dude who took my picture was very cool .. told me them instructors in the academy are real tough and strict .
