Well I got the final offer two days ago and turned it down. Everything was perfect except for the pay. They offered me less than the minimum that was on the announcement. They said it was a mistake on the announcement. Best of luck to everyone else.

How much? And how soon after you complete the background do you take the drug test

I didn't take one. Finished BG last Friday and got the final offer on Tuesday. Roughly 6k below what was advertised.

Yes they told me that there was a bunch of us they were expediting in hopes to get us in the April class. I think we all had previously had TSs so it was pretty easy to update.

Ughhh My investigator sent my case in yesterday if I get this job I’ll probably make the July class darn it I’m surprised no drug test

I received an TO for a specific location, I'd rather not mention where. Yes, I took the drug test yesterday.

Got the call today that I passed my background and was given 5 location to pick from. After that HR will send me my official letter!

Congrats - what locations did you have to pick from? What was your timeline from interview to complete background?

4 of them were mid west small to medium cities while the last one was a medium sized city in Washington
From interview to receiving the call that I passed my background was a little over 4 months

Hey quick questions guys, I haven't received my eqip but I'm also in the process with the US Marshals(Everything is done, waiting for the academy date). Will this conflict with the eqip/background investigation?

What position for U.S. Marshals? 1811? Not sure if it would conflict or not.

What like previous applicants that failed the hiring process? I wonder what that means who did you hear that from

It was someone from the staffing office. They said that they were reviving a lot of applicants for tue background process. I would assume it's applicants that initially didn't move forward in the hiring process. It was said in reference to my inquiry on when I should receive the eqip email. Basically meaning they're very busy right now.

Can’t be good more competition you would think they already failed the process so why bring them back unless hurting for people. The contact email is not helpful sometimes they just tell you to shut up and wait basically.

Happy to announce I have received my firm offer letter today. 8 months spent waiting patiently
