If by SAFE, you mean SAEE, then the answer is "you can't." All you get is an email letting you know you passed. If, by SAFE, you actually meant SAFE, then I have no clue where to get those.

    • Correction: "SAEE". Thanks Beans!

      • Return of the "SAFE"! LOL! Where is this coming from?

        • Hey guys, just looking for some insight here. I was a student intern with my local USSS field office a few years ago and am still good friends with a few Special Agents. Anyway, I applied last year and made it all the way to the polygraph and supposedly that is what failed me, though I was never really told what did fail me. Got the BQA email, and now I applied again to this announcement because one of the Special Agents strongly encouraged that I try again.

Is it possible to get hired after the second time around? Is it frowned upon to apply again after failing the poly (what I'm assuming I failed)? I was told by a Special Agent that failing the poly does not disqualify you for life anymore, only a year. Thanks guys!

I am far from an expert opinion but I am guessing it depends what happend your polygraph. IE if you made confessions that made you fail. I would assume if you have several current agents telling you to re-apply, that they are probably right.

            • You should be able to request why you DQ'd. That might provide more insight. Most agencies encourage reapplying and don't frown on it. I applied back in 2013 and withdrew for personal reasons. Now I'm back in the application and no one has batted an eye or asked why I'm going through again. Unless there is a time limit for something like a year for poly or a complete DQ for something with medical, then there shouldn't be any issue. If there was a legal issue within your poly or BI, I would imagine they would have addressed it with you already.

              • Did everyone move on to a new thread, or is my page not reloading, or has no one really said anything since February 17th?

I don't think anyone is saying anything.

I don't think anyone wants to hear me whine about still not hearing anything and having had no movement for so long. And otherwise, I have nothing to say. Seems like things are probably incredibly slow across the board....pun not originally intended, but now intended.

I just called my local FO to follow up on my status... I was told not to expect anything until next year. The ASAC told everyone that they won't have time to do anything between now and then. Also, the admin specialist told me they have not scheduled any poly's since last August, and they have been told not to schedule any for the foreseeable future.

This may just be the standing orders for my midwest FO, but I highly doubt it, given that we don't get a lot of Presidential traffic here.

                      • It doesn't fully make sense that it would be that way everywhere all year -- they need people badly, they're continuing to have classes, and they just had another vacancy announcement. Surely at least some applicants will keep getting processed, even if it is at a glacially slow pace.

While I agree with you that they are bleeding agents and need them badly, the fact that the above mandate came from a midwest FO is telling, to me. I would completely understand a mandate like that to come from WFO, or NYC, or some other very large FO, but from a smaller midwest FO? Maybe my local FO is just extremely understaffed vis-a-vis other offices. Who knows? My guess is, if you don't get an ELAC, you are likely going to be waiting a while.
