Kinda contradicted yourself by saying its folklore and then saying maybe 4 moves. Chasing something? You mean, promoting? Considering your retirement pay is based on your last 3 years, I would think you would definitely chase that. The sup that did my super mentioned he did 7 moves, agreed that it is not common, but still is a possibility (especially for upward mobility). Even with my current fed leo spot, the possibility of moving 5 times to reach beyond 2nd line management spots is very common.

On that note, I'm a Feb 2015 applicant who was offered a spot today with the same five options. Have until tomorrow afternoon to decide. Application was quick from being a duel applicant with UD from a year prior.

I think the people that are concerned about a high number of moves aren't necessarily speaking of voluntary promotional moves, rather forced moves. Of the forced moves, I think what Bronc was saying is dead on. 3 moves 4 at most. As opposed to 7.
I get what you're saying with the agent moving 7 times but he didn't have to move. He chose to in order to promote up.

Here's the latest! We've had more action in the last week than we have in a little stretch, so this is exciting! A huge congrats to underqualified, BiggestJ, Officer959, and whoatethelastcookie! We support you all.

On a special note, Officer959 was a holdout from the June 2013 announcement who finally got The Callâ„¢. He decided to play hard to get by giving the "thanks, but no thanks" which makes him the prettiest lady at the dance. I'm thinking we should have a side list of those who respond to The Callâ„¢ with a, "Meh..." Everyone has their reasons to proceed or not and I think it's cool to be able to give the yea or nay on your own terms. We wish you the best 95niner! Now nobody else on this board can cry about timelines. The January 2014 applicants will be coming up on 2 years in less than 6 months...

In other news, I'm on vacay and going to Disneyland tomorrow. Also, I just saved 15% on my car insurance.

Shoot me any other intel that makes sense. We know a 8/25 class is happening so buckle up.

Lots of good information on this thread...better than what I've seen out there. I'm a 6/2013 applicant went threw most steps up to the poly and then was told it was going for review, that was 4/2014. Since then no word. Their HR email always comes back with the same sorry "due to the amount of candidates..."

Congrats to those getting calls and dates.

Hey! None of the August 2014 applicants have made it through the HI, unless someone slipped through the cracks (totally possible) or. more likely, don't participate actively on this forum. You see the November 2014 and February 2015 up there as blank because applicants have come through those announcements and actually received The Callâ„¢ - they couldn't wait to get a piece of the USSS action so they had to go be all over-qualified and stuff to jump the rest of us wannabes.

If you know of anyone who should be up there, I'm happy to add.
