The campaign requires alot of travel. And alot of LEAP hours. Its common for people to jump to other 1811s when it starts.

Which is the reason why the announcement we applied to exists!

Anybody from VA, DC or MD hear anything yet? I have yet to hear anyone around here get selected.

I applied in Jan 2014, passed SAEE in April and have yet to be scheduled for the SPI. DC Applicant here. From what I hear the DC field office is a black hole because of the sheer number of applicants they receive. Meanwhile people applying through smaller offices from the May announcement are ahead of us (sad panda )

Question...if you have a lease on an apartment and are leaving to FLETC does anyone know if you could break the lease without any penalties? As they do with the military when deployed?

Nope. That does not apply for USSS. (initially)

Going Forward, after you graduate and go to your office, if the service needs you to move (mandatory), and your on lease, they will pay your contractual obligation to terminate. Or do some sort of cost comparison.

Got the call today. Offered NY, LA, SF, Philly, or Boston. Took Boston.

I got the call today too. I was offered NY, Boston, Philly, LA, San Fran. I chose San Fran (most of my wife's family is out there).
I am a June 2013 applicant.
My class date is 23 September.

Congrats to the two who received calls today. Hopefully more will still come next week! But I think those that are DC applicants may be left waiting for the next class because it seems that no one from that region has got a call yet...here's to hoping they're just too busy to make the calls yet and will be calling soon!
