That was me who posted. My friend got in that class and just recently finished FLETC down in GA. Everyone in his class is prior LE or military with the exception of two, who have J.D.'s.

On another note, I just had my Panel last week.

      • For those of you that needed to have a Medical Follow-Up, how long did it take for you to be notified that you passed? Additionally, how were you notified?

Ha, that's very optimistic of you to assume that they send out any notification of any kind. I never received any, but I called several weeks later to follow up and was told they didn't need anything else.

What is the longest approximate timeline that someone has been hired from the date of their TEA that they are aware of?

                • Polygraph

I have been following this thread for a while but have not posted. I completed the polygraph about 5-6 weeks ago and was told at the time by the examiner that the results were "inconclusive" and that he was recommending a re-test. I spoke to him about 2 weeks ago and he said he was still waiting approval from D.C. for the re-test. He told me that the polygraph section was currently undergoing their annual "evaluation" from the DOD so they were busy and to give him a few weeks. I haven't received a disqualification letter or anything sue I take it I am still in the process. Has anyone else had to re-test on the polygraph? I heard that this was fairly routine.

On a side note I am a LEO and had worked a night shift the day before my test. I didn't get much sleep so the examiner said that could have played a role. The examiner was very professional throughout the entire process. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.....

                  • Though I'm in the UD process, the poly is probably similar. I was told I'd probably have to take a second poly too, but ended up not and I moved onto the medical within a month. Sometimes I think they say that to see if you're willing to forge ahead with the process. But maybe not.

                    • Well guys I'm done in the process, so you can take me off the list phoenix. I just received the ole' rejection email this afternoon....sucks but that is life. Is there anyway to get the results of my polygraph ruling? Good luck to everyone else in the process and I wish y'all the best.

                          • Poly Prep

I am taking my poly soon. I was told by the SA to have a good nights rest plus eat a good breakfast. Any other tips? ( besides tell the truth )

                            • Lol, you might have the exact same examiner I had. Just make sure you do everything he said, because he'll ask how long you slept and whether or not you ate beforehand, etc.

Another good tip (if you have the same examiner)---wear a watch, because your phone/wallet/keys, etc. will be in a different room. I remember he asked what time it was and I said I didn't know and I was told that a man my age needs to grow up and invest in a good watch.

I always wear one now. It's a crappy one, but I've worn it every day since.
