Anyone that knows the process JFK (or any other port) on how they make travel arrangements for you? I've read somewhere that they might be able to fly you back every week from home to class free. Can anyone confirm this?

That's it. Your personal travel is all on your own time and own dime.Comment

1.Do you get house hunting leave if you are going to be working in a different state from which you currently live in.
2.Can you get federal housing if the cost of homes are not affordable with gs5 pay
3.If you have been prescribed blood pressure medication after your medical exam do you need to inform cbp... if so who.
4.If you received a disability rating after applying and leaving the military do you need to inform anyone also?
Currently completed everything in the process except drug test and BI.Comment

1. I doubt it outside of the odd circumstance.
2. Some ports have government housing on-site. The vast majority do not and do not offer any.
3. I am unsure. I imagine at the least you would have to notify FLETC medical when you arrived at FLETC.
4. I do not know. -
I can’t speak for most ports but there are some ports that will alllow you leave after graduation. Just reach out to your training sup because more than likely you’ll be waiting for a post academy class to start.
As far as being able to afford rent/mortgage, that’s on you. You may have to join a roommate or something until you’re able to afford living on your own.

Waiting on the BI to be complete... all was submitted December 29th, 2018. Government shutdown didn’t help but hoping things come together soon for all of us! -
I’m 18-4. I took my drug test on Tuesday and that is my last step. Everything else is complete. -
I took my drug test last Thursday and met with my BI the day after. The drug test didn’t update on CASS yet and who knows how long it’ll take to clear the background investigation lol -

Yea it wasn't great. I've had logical reasoning before but theirs just seemed tricky. Glad I passed though. I think it took me I think close to 2 hours. I found out two days later at 730 am. It was a Monday though so that's probably why I didn't get it on Sunday. -
Hal29 when you got told what you were told did your background say complete in the app?

It’s a long shot to ask, but did anyone’s process speed up or slow down after applying for a later GS9 announcement? I’m currently 18-8 GS 5/7 VRA, just applied for 19-7 GS 9 VRA. Both are for CBPO. Already have been selected for BPA GS9.Comment
