San Ysidro. The number she told me to call back was the scheduling unit. Had to leave a message. Hate I missed the call. I hope it was for the final offer! I already submitted and had my 306 docs recieved about 10 days ago. And it was a few weeks from BI cleared to drug test

I'm seeing many of you have been waiting multiple months for your SI and poly. When I filled out my application I only picked one city for each- now I'm feeling like I should try to expand my list since I'm gonna have to travel out-of-state for both anyway. Does anybody know who I should contact to let them know to put me down for whatever site has the shortest wait time? Anybody try doing this before?

Looks like CBP is now offering a 33% recruitment incentive for the Arizona ports in their new announcement that is up today, along with additional ports in both their DH and non-DH announcement

I re-applied for the 18-7 gs-9 Announcement just to see if I could get it. I got the notification email this morning that I was found eligible for gs-9. Thats going to be a huge help.

Casper_Talon this was for the April 18-7 announcement. I seen Dulles is on the new announcement. That would put me a couple hours from home. But I selected Houlton, Maine. I want to move further away from home lol

Yes I chose provisional clearance. I’m waiting for my Poly, Drug and meeting with BI. Passed the SI in March.

My Drug Test says In progress for over two months now so no real meaning. I emailed them and they told me its a random scheduling not to give advance notice.

For those of you already at the Academy. I got the call today! My pre-Academy starts June 13th. The lady told me they will government pays for transportation to and from the academy. Does that mean pre-academy or the main Academy? The Scheduling unitnis really hard to get a hold of for further questions

@N.N im not sure why it took so long because i don’t have any medical problems, from what i was told they were just super backed up. blackraiin mine was expedited for some reason and was requested to go faster.

LSamm when I received an e-mail to re-certify my e-qip, it stated that it would be expedited. I sure hope it’s for this whole Background process as it’ll be 2 years that I’ve applied come this August/Sept.

Hey guys, its been almost 8 months and still no update on my Background Investigation. Trying not to go crazy here but every time I contact the Help Desk all they say is that my background is in the personnel security stage and that they can't give me a time frame as to when it'll be finished. Any thoughts?

I passed my SI about the same time last year as your timeline indicates except I didn’t take my poly until February of this year. I also waited 8 months in between.

Don't know if there's a point after which you can't change, but you could look into switching to a provisional clearance. That may help speed things along.

N.N. I had originally sent my provisional clearance when I first began the process and then about 2 months ago they asked me to resend it saying that they didn't have it so I did and I even got an email saying they received but haven't heard back from them since.

Yeah I am 18-3 also. My app updated the next day after the SI and is also currently at 38%. My medical has not changed from "in progress" even though i took medical on 2/20/18.

I'm really starting to believe the email and ask for updates strategy helps to expedite things. I sent an email today asking if there were any updates with my eQip. Within the hour, I received a new rejection letter (corrected one part and re-submitted immediately).

It's not a lot, but it definitely seems to make things happen.

Who'd you try contacting? It looks like poly is the only point in the process there's not a specific email address you can use.
