Thanks a lot!! I had never thought of it that way UNTIL NOW!! I always thought, G-bar like G-Man, you know, old FBI guy with the fedora and all that. Now I can't see anything but the Blue Oyster Bar from the Police Academy movies. Any other images you want to ruin for me?

      That's the orginal moniker.

In the days before political correctness it was refered to as the "Gay Bar" because of the almost all male population of the place. As the world became more sensitive to labels, the bar became the "G-bar". Now, there's a push on to drop that moniker as well.

Beh. Political correctnes, what utter garbage. I don't even understand why gays would be offended by guys calling a bar stuffed with guys a gaybar in jest. Say that 5 times fast.

                    • Called TSU, the woman straight out told me 2009 doesn't look good for me. I have been in TSU over 100 days for SF/OAK. She said they only have 3 months of FLETC dates left to fill OCT, NOV, DEC and she said "we don't know how many people we are going to actually call for those months” She said the next 3 or so weeks will determine what they do for those months. (Not sure why the next few weeks) 2010 is where it is at. My tests expire in the fall, has anyone been pulled to re test? How long did it take from the time they pulled you to the time you tested and got back in TSU? How do they contact you?
I can’t believe how long this is taking, I tested almost two years ago.
I can't believe I am going to have to re test.

You won't have to retest unless they change the test material.

                        • Anyplace that is listed as an User Fee Airport probably sees little traffic and most likely does not staff full-time with CBPO's.

Generally, User Fee Airports are "speciality" airports with irregular landings. They have such limited traffic that the total number of international flights is insufficient to make it worth CBP's(and the American taxpayer's) time to staff the port with regular shifts. Hence the words "user fee". A company or individual pays the costs of CBP attending the landing each and every time an international flight lands at an User Fee Airport.

                            • Since someone is bound to ask at some point...

A Service Port is a port where CBP offers a full range of services, to usually include but not limited to, USDA, FDA, agriculture, cargo, immigration FAST/NEXUS/SENTRI, export, et al. Generally, they are fairly big...at least in comparison to the surrounding ports under them.

Typically, most port-level administrative offices are found in or near service ports as well.
