i've been is TSU for Miami since 5/8/09. Anyone waiting for miami? anyone been called recently?? I guess we are in for a long wait!!

yep, waiting for MIA too. Been referred to EOD/scheduling (TSU?) per the CASS link, on 02/23/09, still waiting....
Wished I would've put in for Fort Lauderdale. I didn't really know the procedure back then, and they did have a posting on usajobs. oh well, just hurry up and wait.

You will receive it via mail and you should be getting close, but not uncommon to be waiting over a month for NORs. Don't sweat it. There have not been any TOs going out lately as it appears DHS and MHC are trying to regroup.

buffalo no vacancies

The women told me that there were not vacancies for buffalo at this time. She said there was a waiting list and I was about a month behind. I reached TSU on 4/24.

Day third in IAD – and already first contact with pax! In the afternoon few planes landed in quick succession and wave of people quickly filled the terminal. This job is all about confrontations and service to the public; and from what I’ve seen today some of the members of the public do now shower while travelling. I’ve seen goats that smell better than some of the people I’ve encountered in the terminal today!

We were assigned to help uniformed CBPOs refer passengers to secondary inspection which is separated by what ‘infraction’ one committed (ea. food items present, or baggage inspection, ect.) Seems like most people have problems following painted letters A, B, or C.

Also, I’ve learned that I really enjoy telling people what to do (LOL) and absolutely hate when people touch me for no good reason – somehow people felt compelled to tap me on my shoulder to get attention before asking a question.

I’ve felt bad about some of those guys; many of these people were up and travelling for 24 hours or more, tired like hell, some Russian guy tried to give me a bottle of whiskey which caused him to be referred to secondary only if he could leave immediately (big bottle of Black Label, mind you). I had to explain to him three times that unfortunately he does have to stay in lane and wait like everyone else.

Overall, very interesting day!

Even though you are enjoying your time at pre-academy, you seem more happy to come on this forum and talk about passengers/experience...which is not very professional and if it is not me I am sure someone from your port is seeing how you refer to foreign passengers and are reporting you to your port director, chiefs and supervisors. Part of your job is customer service as well as professionalism and as a soon to be officer you should keep those comments silent. Shouldn't you be preparing for FLETC? well just a word of advise there are eyes and ears everywhere.

your EOD is not 2/23/09 that's your TSU date.

Can anyone give me any idea maybe why I haven't been contacted yet since receiving my test results? I scored a 81(no vet) and tested on 3/3/09 geo pref for southwest border and nothing in the mail yet!!! It's driving me crazy because I know of others who has tested the same time as me and are moving along pretty quick. If anyone can give me any info it would be greatly appreciated..

It took 6 months to get a TO for me and I got an 85. Plus you might never get one depends how many people did better than you.

How has the running been?

running hasn't been that bad.. we have our final PT class this week, then our final PTE mid next week.. just praying for a black flag for the people that didn't make it on the first time.. the heat is starting to turn up down here.. get ready for it, if your coming in June - Sept time frame..
