The roaming is not what I was worried about. It's the background part where you list all foreign travels that changes. I will be bringing my cell
BTW I think swine flu killed 3 people out of many cases in the US and regular flu kills 36,000 a year in the US. That's good odds.
You shut your mouth when you're talking to me!

I had a similar issue. I was on a three week vacation in the Philippines when my BI called my cell number. I just left a voicemail explaining I was out of the country until a certain date and if you need to reach me my email address is ... The BI ended up emailing me my second week on vacation. Regardless, I would check my voicemail while out of the country, plus there's always phone cards. As for the updating your BI info... well i don't know about that...

        • Hey all. I took my CBPO Exam on 02/23/2009 and got my NOR a couple weeks later with a score of 92. My geo preference is WA - All other locations (includes Seattle). I have been waiting for a Tentative Selection letter since that point. I tried emailing the address I was given by the Minneapolis Hiring Center to get my home address that is on file, changed to my current one. The problem is that the email was returned back saying "undeliverable". The one I have is "[email protected]". Can anyone tell me if this is the correct email address? Also, anyone is Washington still waiting on a Tentative Letter? Thanks guys!

The email is [email protected]. This is what I used when I emailed a change in my phone number. Good luck!

                • I emailed the medical unit about the upcoming expiration of my fitness and this is what they replied with:

If TSU is not able to get you an EOD date prior to your exams expiring, they will notify us and we will request new exams to be set up for you. We will notify you of this action by sending you a letter.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

So they wait until you expire, and TSU lets the medical unit know at that point. Thats great work by them, you know, being on the same page and working together. You'd think they'd call to schedule the re-take maybe 2 weeks before you expire to prevent you from being removed from TSU. And if you happen to get the call in that time, you'd just cancel the appointment.

But then again, this is the Fed.. who am I kidding?

                  • To current CBPO's, or people with vast knowledge:

Do CBPO's get credentials that they carry around? I know that the uniform has a badge on it. But is there anything else you get? Also, do you have to carry it around all of the time? I would hate to do that...

                    • Well, Im sure you're eligible for discounts (being a LEO). So I'm sure you can carry the badge around in a wallet? Hell if I know, just a guess. I'm curious to know as well...

                      • Well I wouldn't carry it around unless there was one made for that specific purpose. Lol, could you imagine taking it off your uniform and sticking it in your wallet? :-/

As a leo and with friends working for CBP, you always have two badges. One for the uniform and a wallet badge. Also, in the PD world we have a hat badge for the class A uniform so that makes three. I dont know if CBP has hat badges, but I definitely know they have a wallet badge. Also, shirt badges do not properly fit in a wallet badge holder.

                          • Thats what I thought, thanks.

One more question, does the wallet badge come with picture identification as well?

Yes, it has to. You have to have a face (id) to go along with the badge. In the PD world we have two. One is used as an id card and the other as a key card, to get in and out of the building and to navigate within the building(to open doors, gates, etc.)
