No one could go into detail without violating the agreement. You need to sit back and relax. Some of the stuff you request could get you or someone else removed from the process. It's an extremely long process and you need to be patient.

And no, you don't have to be an 11. The announcements are almost always for 9 through 11. The biggest thing is that your off probation.
Sorry, I was wrong then. I could have sworn you needed to be an 11. We had a bunch of k-9 officers in training this week and they all love their job.

      • How does the K-9 work? Does the dog live with you? How old is the dog typically when you get them?
        Thanks!

The dogs are stored in a contracted kennel. Dogs are shared by 1, 2 or 3 pushers. And I think (I'm no K9, I just slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night) that they go to full time work around 1 year old.

You really need to relax. I don't even know you but I have a visual in my head of you pacing back and forth pulling your hair out. LOL I bet you did fine on the VBT.

On another note, hey everyone! I haven't posted in a while so here's an update... Last post I said I had hearing loss and a very slow resting heartbeat on my EKG so I went to my doctor and she said I was interpreting the form wrong because there was nothing checked off underneath the hearing test section. I guess I was kind of paranoid like you ImmOff because I just saw those words and immediately thought I was going deaf or something. LOL However, I received some paperwork from the medical unit which I had to get filled out from the optometrist from where I got my laser surgery done in 2007 (understandable). But I also got paperwork to go see a neurologist because I mentioned I get headaches a couple times a month. I didn't think it would be that serious, but I guess they need to know eeeverything before hand. Good luck to all of you who are pushing through and welcome to all the new testers!
