    Hello..

Is there anyone out there that is currently at the SLC Port or know someone at the office?

TSU Pending is starting to wear on the nerves and stress level.

        • I have been in TSU since Oct. 22, 2008. I tested in Aug. 2007.
In four months the whole process will have been two years.... and counting.

It all depends on how many bodies they need. I received my TO on 1/29/09, sent all paper work on 2/12/09 (deadline was set for 2/13/09) and got a call on 2/17/09 for medical/fitness for 3/2/09 and then a letter on 2/26/09 for my VBT on 3/11/09.

                Hope it helps!!!

                • The CBP hiring process and "Hiring Pool"

All persons who passed the test with a 70% or higher can be processed for hiring. All of the geographic locations use a curve on the test scores to decide who gets processed or not. If you scored a 90% or above you will probably get processed. I waited about 8 months to recieve my hirring package and it took H.R. and the security people about 8 months to process it. I am in the waiting for a phone call status. I processed along side two friends of mine and they processed in about 90 days or less. Their backgrounds were less complicated than mine. However, they have been in the "Pool" waiting for their phone calls for almost 120 days now. How fast you get in depends on your test score, your processing time and the hirring volume of your geographic location. Nogalas and other Southwestern ports processes fast, Puerto Rico is very slow.

                  Sincerely Yours, R F Lorenzo.

                      • To everyone, please come to FLETC physically prepared. There should honestly be no reason what so ever to arrive unprepared for the physical battery test (its that easy) and yet people still struggle. The run time has dropped I believe. Although it should be 12 minutes like the Marshalls if you ask me. Now, some PT instructors might be relatively easy while others will work you until you have nothing left. Make cardio a big part of your preparation.

Not trying to be rude, so dont take it that way. There are alot of people and a wide spectrum of fitness levels. So, if youre not a complete lazy a** even if you fail the first PEB, you have like 12 weeks to prepare for the final. There is no excuse to bow out for fitness, unless you get hurt, in which case you can most likely go back to your port and return when you are healed.

Getting your final offer for the job is often referred to as "The Call".
