      • Hello everyone. I'm in the final phases of the CBP process and want to see if anyone in the Illinois area is in the same boat. I've passed all the Pre-Employment parts except for BI which was conducted on Oct 23, 2007 and from talking to the BI, he says everything went smooth. So I'm kinda in limbo now waiting for a Job. Anyone else at the same stage or just get hired? My score on the test was 94, no vet points.

Also, I've found this site to be a great wealth of information on this process, thanks to everyone that contributes.

Congrats!! Hopefully your process goes faster than min.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

                  Hey whccmu!

                  How interesting was it?

I was scheduled for my VBT about a week ago but it was for my Ohio location when me and the hubby was still there. It has to be rescheduled for the Arizona location now so it will be about 4 to 6 weeks (from what they say, hopefully sooner). When I took the Oral Board with BP the scenarios were definitely scenarios that I would not want to be in on a daily basis if those type of scenarios happened to me. Obviously they were actual scenarios but nonetheless, scenarios I would not want to be in. Of course, the scenarios with CBP, I would hope, are different.

                  So mainly common sense huh?

It is mainly common sense... more like "customer service" approach. you have to be proactive - preventing to escalate the problem. There will be 8 scenarios and each one is different approach, but bottom line is that you will have to show your leniency towards it.

Just like every body else is saying - Don't sweat it and be yourself. I am sure you will do fine.

                    Good Luck!

I am sure this is very useful for those who haven't done a VBT before.

                      Thanks again!

                      • Anyone just waiting? I was moving right along and then all of a sudden, I haven't heard anything for months???? I read the comment about people having to use vacation time and a lot of files are probably just piling up on some guys desk. Do you think that would be the case? Does anyone know if its possible to update information on your employment history and so on? I would love to just start the whole process over again, I would qualify for GS7 instead of just a GS5. I haven't heard anything for months, they would notify me if I was no longer being considered, wouldn't they? Thanks! Josh
