Medical Results
Hey All,
Does CHS usually mail everyone their medical exam results? I just received the results from my medical exam a few days ago and from what I see my vision is 20/20 but for the hearing portion says "conversational range hearing loss" and "high-frequency hearing loss". Anyone else have similar results? I question this because I have never had a problem with my hearing my whole life and I have absolutely no problem hearing when people are talking to me, even whispering. This is really bugging me and I'm wondering if there could be some kind of mistake. Also for my EKG it states "sinus bradycardia" which I researched online and it's basically a really slow heartbeat. I remember during the exam when the doctor was checking my heartbeat using his stethoscope he asked if I worked out on a regular basis because I had a very slow heartbeat. I told him I did work out about 3 days a week and he said that was good, so I hope that is the cause of my slow heartbeat and there is nothing else going on with that.
I checked CASS and it says my medical has been sent to the medical review unit for a determination which is typically made within 4 weeks. Does anyone know if they send everyone's results there or is it just for people who have some kind of abnormal results? Any insight would be helpful to ease my mind! Thanks guys...Last edited by Leen; 02-14-2009, 11:14 AM.CBPO Timeline

Thanks guys...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

Hey guys...
Thank you for the Well Wishes, I need all I can get!...
Florida Applicants have been on the move as of late from what I've seen posted here. Haven't seen the I got the call posts from Florida, but I have seen lots of people moving through the steps.
CBP2B,
You just got you packet on the 11th (compressed testing site, test & TO same day?), so you will have to give it a few days before you are entered into the system. It may be in by the middle of next week, you can keep checking or just give MHC a call at the number provided in your package (on Monday), so that they can give you a guesstimate on when you can fill out your e-quip. In the meantime go through the packet and fill out as much as you can, and gather all of the information needed to complete you forms once the system is up and running for you. If you want you can do a search for an SF-86 form and fill that out so that you have everything done.
Good Luck!
LEEN,
Don't worry about the hearing tests results. Most medical testing sites are not equipped to make all of the test accurately, for example: the hearing test should be conducted inside an "isolation booth" so that any and all exterior noises can't interfere with test results, when I took my test I could hear people talking outside the room and cars driving by (WITH THE HEADPHONES ON)... and I got a similar letter stating that I had high frequency hearing loss and what not!...
Human hearing is very sensitive and as we age we loose the ability to hear High Frequency Sounds, just the way it is!...
Nothing really to worry about, as long as the letter didn't say that you were found "not medically cleared", you're good to go!...Last edited by yoda; 02-14-2009, 04:32 PM.CBPO
