That aint bad, even though the age is 37 now, when i went through we had two guys in their mid-50's in my class.

48 per class, split into 24 in A group and 24 in B group for the purposes of PT, computer lab, etc.

You might not be the oldest. We haven't had 12(d) for quite a year yet, and there were still old people being hired up until July of last year. No doubt some of those old people injured themselves during training and could be waiting back at their ports to heal up. We have a guy at my port, who isn't old, but was injured during training. He sat out for almost a year to heal up before going back.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

If you do get injured, what do you do while you're healing?

              • I was wondering if anyone knows the way T.O.'s are issued. For example:

If there are 20 vacancies at a port do they send out 20 T.O.'s or do they send more expecting some to fail in the process?

I see some vacancies where they only have 1 or 3 or 10 vacancies and was just curious if you get a T.O. and complete the steps in a timely manner but you are number 4 where there are 3 vacancies what happens to you. I'm guessing you either wait or they inform you that the position is no longer open...

                Thanks,

                Peter

TO's are sent out in SCORE order and Funded Vacancies available at such POE's. I would imagine that they would reinstate an opening as soon as an applicant is withdrawn due to FAILING any of the parts.

                      Hey Nordy racer,
Don't worry, if I ever get in I would be the oldest one I'm 39, took the test when I was 37 years old...But I look like I’m 25...I work for the DOD, and I can school these young bucks in running and benching As the saying goes, “Age is just a number.” Mid thirties you’re still in your prime

                        RUS pay.

Most likely, you're looking at Champlain. Maybe Massena or A-Bay. Likely there's not much going on in regards to hiring at any of the others, though you might see maybe a body or two hired amongst them.

Hang on for the ride. I received my GS 7 TO for Montana in January of 08. I had friends receive theirs for GS 5 at the same time and graduated FLETC in December and are currently working at the Sweetgrass POE.
