I've yet to watch much of it. I caught about 10 minutes of it one night, that's it.

Understand a lot of that is play-acting and editing, and it's all being shot at the bigger ports.

Don't expect to have 'TV quality' days most of the time in most of the ports.

I don't know if I'd call airports easier, but they're probably less physically challenging.

Indoors, less moving, more admin/regulatory stuff. If you're looking for a career where you're likely never far from overpriced hot dogs and Pepsi, the airport will likely fit that bill.

That's a Seattle, WA area code.
Sounds like a telemarketer to me.

I actually look forward to getting my hands a little dirty at the border...On another note, when are the uniforms given to the students (I believe they're referred to as the "smurfs")? I just want to know how long we'll be wearing a suit.

                • Of course you're absolutely right. I know for TV they always edit everything. Still though in Iraq I did a lot of vehicle searching with and without dogs. It was crazy as you can imagine. Couple of close calls but thankfully nothing bad ever happens to me. Not to say the least for some of my other marines... one main reason why I want to do this job. Time for Americans to focus on who is coming into our country. Fight the war before it gets in said.

My smurfs were issued the first day of class. I wore them on day 2.

The original 'pre-CBPO' classes ran a bit differently than the newer, CBPO classes though. Your mileage may differ.

                        • You get your smurfs on day one. On day two you get your leather gear. So on day three, except for the confused look and number on your backpack, you appear to have been there a bit.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

                            • Well the nurse from the Medical Review called me the other day to tell me she recieved my fax. She said she has sent it to the Medical officer for review. Hopefully that will be the end of my minor battle with the medical guys. After that I get to sit back and wait for my BI to clear then go to pending-ville.

Well guys, had to redo my fitness test yesterday since it had expired. You better hope yours dont expire before you get hired because that thing sucks! Dont care what shape you think you're in, that porno music step test is the worst. My lead leg was killing me when i finished and then i had to shovel snow for an hour. At least i passed.
