Question did anyone have to wait a long time after passing all the pre-employment steps for a call with your EOD? I called the hiring center and they said I'm complete with everything but I just have to wait for the call.

After June 2017. Finally scheduled for Poly. Got called Saturday while I was asleep, they had a cancellation and he was waiting for first come first serve whoever called him back. Have my poly Tuesday. What’s funny is that it’s been so long, I have a great job now, so I’m going into this strangely relaxed because well I make pretty good money with 4 days off a week. But life moves so fast, already bought a house, planning a wedding etc. so will see what happens and will see if I end up passing everything and getting the “call” that will be very Interesting.

19-5 NYC here, anyone else ? I feel like the only place that is not moving forward is NYC. No poly, no calls, no nothing. If the gyms are opening why not the institutions that deal with this. I really hope that we hear something from them, life goes on and sometimes better things comes our way.

They are hiring more polygraphers for NYC area. (Posted on USAjobs.gov) They are probably going to EOD in 2021. Grab a fishing rod and enjoy the wait.

Exactly waiting for the EOD call for TSA officer position and standing at 50% on CBP app waiting now for the Polygraph call, whenever it comes, since I have seen on the App that the background check is going in process.

JFK is huge and I imagine it has numerous work schedules.

Standard scheduling in most locations is usually something along the lines of 0000-0800, 0800-1600, 1600-0000. Airports like JFK often have more variety in scheduling since air traffic is much more predictable than land border traffic.

It is indeed true that some ports have 12 hour shifts. Some ports have other alternative shifts of various lengths and types as well.

At least from what I have seen, those types of alternative work
schedules tend to be limited and assigned by bidding based on seniority.

Class 545, talked to my sup yesterday, he said not sure but if anything, class 531 to 535 will be Oct, 536 to 540 Nov, I'll go in Dec .. But things could change..... jdop7
