How long is the PFT-1 result valid?
A PFT-1 Pass result is valid for one year, or as long as a candidate's selection for the position remains active. If a candidate receives a PFT-1 Fail result, the candidate can reapply and be afforded another opportunity to complete the PFT-1 upon selection.

What’s everyone’s backup plan is CBP doesn’t work out or takes 20 more years to move onto the next step? I’ve been looking a possibly BOP (Bureau of Prisons) just to get some LE experience under my belt... posting for BOP closes at the end of the summer.

CBP is my backup plan. I'm also going through the hiring process with the Marshals. After my medical next week, I'll be at the same point in both processes, waiting for my background to clear. CBP is great and all, but there is no way I'm going to pass a chance to work for the Marshals.
BOP isn't bad if you just want to get your foot into the door. I started at BOP.

I'm currently in the hiring process with a Local PD to me... They will sponsor through the academy and have a reputation of working 4x harder than most departments. So 2 years with them would be like 8 at a slower department.
So should make my next application, if it swings that way this time, look amazing :P

Yongky Sunyoto I would say a pulmonologist. Just google that and the area you stay and go from there. I would do that as soon as possible because it takes approximately an extra month to review the additional paper work.

dang i just check it, it gonna cost me up to 800 bucks for checking it

i had to pay 400 for a leo psych eval+ 20 bucks for all my med paperwork...it was worth it because i start this month...ask yourself is it worth spending the $$ for 75k + in the near future...i think it is

19-2 here. Just a quick update:
I resubmitted my eQIP 5 weeks ago (April 5th). CBP Hiring Center submitted my background investigation packet to the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) for higher level review. Still haven’t heard of an update or anything.
how long does it usually take to hear something back from your case manager? My CASS is at 50% with a blue “i” and in progress on both background investigation and drug and 3 days and pending for polygraph and final offer.
