  • Not new to the forums but first time posting in this particular subforum. I applied in May to CBP posting/announcement 18-8 DH & am formerly 18-3 with BP. I selected Nogales as my preferred station however I may take Lukeville if it's available since it's close to Phoenix. It is slightly under the 100 mile distance but we'll see if it offered granted if I'm fortunate to make it through. I qualified for GS-5, my E-Qip/Medical transferred over & are both green. I retook physical 7/16 which went green the same day & recently took SI/fingerprints 8/8 & got NOR results that I passed the next day. I am now waiting to schedule the poly, currently sitting at 50% complete.

JJ221 Thanks, that's where I come from so you can understand my confusion. In that case if hired I will select Lukeville over Nogales.

  • Anyone else having trouble logging into CASS today? I go thru all the sign in steps then it just takes me back to the first login page :/

Ahh looks like it’s working now, I just started getting a bit concerned when it didn’t work for like 3-4 hours lol.

  • They are hiring for Nogales, Lukeville and Douglas. Along with one or two other places in Arizona. I selected nogales.

Has anyone confirmed that you can be offered anything within the 100m zone for Direct Hire? All I’ve heard is Direct Hire is “Southern Border only”, but if it’s 100 miles, that could include places like Houston.

Southern border includes AZ, New Mexico, Texas & California but I believe for Texas Laredo is the main one with openings.

I'm in the same boat as Alexr3496. Medical is still not cleared after submitting additional info the end of June. Have since taken and passed the poly, taken drug test, and recertified e-QIP.

Going on 13 weeks since submission for me.

    • My medical and everything else seemed to be going fast. I’m at a standstill since my poly cleared in may. I have heard from investigator once in June and told me it should be a few weeks until I heard from them. It’s been exactly 2 months since that I’m patiently waiting since then. Don’t know if it would be a good idea to send them an email or just keep waiting.

The second time I received an email from investigator I was told that I would be receiving a subject letter issuance soon. I replied to ask what that meant. And all they told me was to disregard that email. That email was meant for my adjudicator. That was the last time I heard from them since June. So have no idea what that means. Or if it’s good or bad.

More people are passing poly compared to 70% fail rate before, could be part of the reason investigators are backlogged.

I think you just have to sign a statement certifying that nothing has changed in your medical history

      • Hi guys, I have received the TSL today, as GS5, when I submitted the applicition, it showed that I'm qualified for Gs5 and GS7. Based on the TSL, does it mean they only consider me as GS5?
Also, there is a category called "considered": CBP frontline hiring, what does this mean?

        Thank you you so much.

If it is tel for gs5 and 7 and it shows both it means you qualified for both. That is what my recruiter told me. Because it is a posting for both. If it just gs5 then you would only qualify for that.

Glad to hear that this worked out. I have been debating reapplying since it has been a few years since my horrible poly experience.

I was very nervous for my polygraph since I read mostly about bad experiences other people had on this forum. However, my experience went well and my examminer was very professional. I’ve failed a polygraph in the past before but I ended up passing CBP’s. You got this, try not to let one bad experience hinder you from trying again.

      • Does anyone have a recruiter they're working with that you like/is helpful? Would you possibly be able to share their contact info?

The recruiter I was working with seemed super helpful for the first week or so, she even helped get my medical rolling! But then she apparently fell off the face of the map and hasn't responded to any of my emails in almost 2 months... It's very frustrating..

I don't know if they'll be helpful, but I received the contact info for the Tucson recruiter at my SI. I'll message you the details (it's an actual email, not a mailbox like the one listed on CBP's recruiter contact list)

      • Just had my EQIP rejected for the second week in a row. Having to jump through hoops. I didn't know my mother and myself being born in Germany on a US Military base would make life so difficult. lol

duocbpo Maybe you could post a screenshot because that doesn't make sense. Otherwise, I don't think you'll get any help (you've already asked twice). I'm pretty sure what you're looking at on the TSL has zero significance - it just tells you which agency in the DHS you applied for
