It will require a Congressional amendment to do away with the poly. However, now a bunch of folks have great Mon-Fri jobs giving the polys and will surely protest any change.
IMHO the poly is killing hiring efforts and not very effective at judging character.

I can suggest you arrive the evening before and get a good rest as oppose to arriving the morning of with a long distance driving fatigue
And have to deal with the pft2...What i did was i drove from NYC the evening before and stayed in a Motel 6 which was exatcly a 3 mile drive for like 45 bucks. I arrived early the evening before checked in, ate a good dinner relaxed and got a good night sleep and went and rocked the pft 2 with a breeze..
P.s if you have a NYS drivers license, they will not let you into the facility, so make sure you bring a passport or some other form of govt ID.Last edited by Robert_212; 08-03-2016, 06:23 PM.

They have a big courtside clock on the finish line for you to track your time.. You first start with the 220..then the situps, push ups then followed by the 1.5 miles. You can bring your bottle water and towel with you. No head gear, ipod, mp3 etc will be allowed. i do advise to get there early since you have to be escorted as a group in a van from the main building into the facility by a CBP instructor.

I wonder why they have an issue granting access to people with NYS drivers license. I have read and understood the real ID act and know that NYS wasnt compliant, however NYS was granted an extension. I copied the following from the NYS DMV website:
New York State has been granted an extension to the REAL ID Act only through October 10, 2016. What does that mean?
The extension’s 2016 expiration is no cause for concern, as DHS grants extensions only on an annual basis and New York State anticipates having a REAL ID extension until becoming fully compliant with the Act. That means New Yorkers can continue to use their current state-issued driver license or ID card to enter federal buildings or board a domestic flight until October 1, 2020

For those who have reapplied, how long does it take for everything to transfer over? I withdrew last month and am waiting for the new postings so I can reapply. I am hoping that it will move quickly. Does it pick up where it left off? I had passed everything initially, and was pretty far into the process. Also, has anyone had success moving forward after reapplying?
