I'd say yes and yes. If you didn't "pass" a polygraph, you will have to do so at some point. And yes, they can find you unsuitable for the same thing. If the same problem exists at the time that they assess your background as did the first time, you'll likely be found unsuitable unfortunately.

I have been randomly drug tested throughout my 7 yrs.of employment with the TSA.

Just looking for a word of advice... Took my polygraph in Detroit on 4/11. Admitted to drug use (3 times) and stole something twice when I was a kid. I also put this on my e-QIP. During the test I got uncomfortable in the chair and couldn't help but fidget a couple times, so I was pulled off the chair and grilled about concealing information about drug use and/or a major crime. He also said i was doing something to throw off the computer. Lol I was completely honest with the guy and he tried his hardest to get me to admit to something, but there was nothing more to tell him. He said I didn't fail or pass and may possibly have to come in for another test, or MHC would contact me and just cut me loose. Anyone have this happen?

Crazy a lot of people had the same experience with the poly.

Most likely the CBP Internal Affairs office downtown Detroit. That's where I had taken mine this past October.

When I took it I didn't see anything wrong with it. I got there at 11 and was out by 1. It's just a stress test. Stay completely still and answer the questions yes or no. Simple. If you are moving twitching or cannot follow directions you will fail. It's not about you lying it's about how you react to certain questions. This is my opinion.

Congrats! I am in the same boat. I am 15-5, PT2 is May 6th, EOD May 13th but my academy is June 16th. I am already in San Diego though.

My understanding is that you have to wait 3 years before reapplying if you fail the polygraph.

How long after taking the poly did you get the email saying that you're unsuitable ?
