Ask someone in NY to take pictures of the E-qip and just type it in online.
I want it bad! ! No need to cut it short if I don't have to meet with anyone, in that case I would fly out right away. But my cousin is flying in tomorrow so she'll bring the paperwork for me.

If its not possible to send in the docs you filled out , I'd call and see if you can now do your e-QIPO online? best of luck-CHEERS!
Thank you so much, unfortunately I won't be home to receive the mail, but I'll see what happens.

Fill it out while drinking some Brugal con coca cola in Boca Chica... Or maybe piña colada in Samana!

You still have to wait for the reference number for you to log into the e-Qip system

                • Wait so I'm confused as hell, what am I login in for if I'll have all the paperwork with me? & what am I doing when I log in....

Ugh this part of the process is so confusing. A down side about this is that I grew up with my older sister filling everything out for me. Now I'm scared I'll fill something in wrong

                  • prior to the OPM cyber break in e-QIP was done online. your sponsor would flip the switch on their end and then send you an email w/ password... then along came May 2015!!! OMP shut down the web site and all SF-85/86/87 were to be hard carded as they were in the good old military days!! the idea was to send in the card copy and once the OMP site was back up, you would resubmit the info into the system?? really?? yes... as of last week(Wednesday Aug 5th) the OPM site is up and running. I do believe some have not acquired ther new operation ?? it requires the same step as before but now a new very long registration number that must be sent to you in a separate email..... BUT DO AS CBP TELLS YOU (maybe call them).. hope this helped CHEERS!

The hand copy of the e-Qip was for you to fill out before hand so you can be able to just type everything in when they send you the reference number.

as a Security Specialist, this is the email I sent out explaining our process:

                        Hello CORs, COTRs,

As you may have heard the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) disabled the use of the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (E-QIP) online program temporarily to enhance their security measures. The directive from OPM, signed July 2, 2015, is for new employees/returning employees and contractors to complete a hard copy SF-85 form and send it back to their servicing personnel office. When E-QIP is back online the individual will be required to enter all the information from the hard copy SF-85 into the online E-QIP program. We will track and retain the SF-forms and advise them when the E-Qip system is again available.

We suggest the SF-85 form be faxed to HR Security and not e-mailed due to the personally identifiable information it contains. These instructions will be sent to DOI Access card applicants in an e-mail message after your request is submitted into the DOI Access website and the personnel Security office receives the request form.

Thank you for your patience during this time and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

as I had said this was changed again Aug 5th......

                          • Just for curiosity, today I emailed the Scheduling Unit asking them, let's say if it's very difficult to get in Miami, what other duty station can I get?
They called me one hour later offering me Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Lol...
                            What do you guys think?
Should I take one of those two or should I continue to wait for Miami?
They said they will call me again next week.
To be honest, I didn't even think they would look at my email lol...
I'm praying they come back and say here's your Miami. Lol...
Anyone else waiting heard anything yet?

I am in no way an expert. I haven't done any research on those locations. IN PASSING, I'd say that Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands are more desirable than Miami. I do not know how much has changed in Puerto Rico with the new taxes, and I know even less about the Virgin Islands. I've heard a lot of things about Miami (maybe that is just the whiners), especially about the workload and management. It does sound like Puerto Rico would be easier to swap OUT of especially to central Florida. I'd recommend posting this over on the Delphi forums and I'm sure they could be more helpful than I.

edit: I highly recommend you get as much input as possible this weekend.
