14-2 here... Just to share my experience... I submitted my eQIP package first, then had medical/PFT 1, VBT/SI, then poly, pending drug test and BI. It is different for everyone though, there is no particular order on the first couple of steps of the app process.

Two and a half hours of sitting and answering questions is not bad at all. My examiner was professional and very friendly.
Omg great, awesome to hear. Makes me worry less to be able to read positivity. Congrats.

You'll keep your creds. The gun belongs to Uncle Sugar. It'll likely be cut up for scrap metal.

What exactly is the point behind all your negativity?

Every industry, every system, every occupation has the occasional bad seed that fails to get culled out during the process and manages to make it out on to the sales floor, graduate college, or get hired into a position. ..CBP included. Likewise, any system set up to remove bad seed from the process will, on some level, also remove some good seed...CBP included.

That's the nature of the beast. That's simple life. CBP, like everyone else, is subject to the realities of this world.

          • Got an email to schedule my polygraph today. I have my VBT/SI next Thursday. Just hoping I pass the polygraph, considering the witchcraft involved.

            • Sidearms are not that expensive anyways. I got a nice Glock for $500 brand new. If you want a gun, just buy one.

                • I know that there is a 60 day period to sign up for insurance when you EOD.

Do you get health insurance right away when you sign up, or is there a waiting period of a month or two before your coverage actually starts?

Usually takes 4 weeks, for all federal jobs I've had.

Okay thanks. One month of COBRA is manageable. Anything but Obamacare is acceptable lol

I looked into GEHA for the family coverage. $111.50 per pay period for family is super good, and with low co-pays you can't really go wrong.
