Congrats! Great to see Sept 13 people getting the call! What port are you headed too?
Port of Seattle is what they say, former co-workers from DOS are saying that just means I'll be assigned to the Seattle Field Office and go to any of the sites in Puget Sound area they want me to.
Then get right on the running. Get one of those $40 heart rate monitors, the ones with the strap around your chest and wristwatch display. Figure out your work out range and max heart rate . Google that and you'll have it. Then get yourself out there every day and do it. You need to stay in the workout range and keep pushing while not letting yourself wander too far into the danger zone. You can go too far and not even know it which is the other reason you need the HR monitor. The other reason is getting too comfortable in a lower range and not advancing which is easy to do.
Just get going and do it. The day you take your test you should be able to summon up that second wind and get through well enough. Just keep in mind that everybody is weak in some discipline or other and all you have to do is pass.
HOME Stretch or not so much ??
my e-quip was just sent to the security office a couple of days ago.
From your experience how long it should be from here and what will be happening next, i have read many replies on many forums but i havent read any from someone that had just done this ! cause we all know it is different from a couple of years ago ....
any info would be appreciated ...

So September 2013 to February 2015 has been quite a journey
Hey can I ask you,
1.How long was the wait between your BI packet being sent in and the for the drug test call?
2.the time between your drug test and PFT2?
3.What grade are you?

For everyone depending on the 17+ mins to pass the pft2...just a heads up, you only have 15 mins at the academy to pass. The last test, (you'll have three while here), is towards the end of your time here at the academy and is truely the one that "counts". I recommend being able to do 15 mins or less or at least have that as your goal prior to arriving at the academy. Good luck and congratulations to all coming this way.

Funny I like running, and am good on upper body. My problem is, I let my core go over the years. The extra weight as given me the power I often need, but is killing my sit-ups :-)

Are we talking pft2 ? I can pass that right now . I can do it under 17 min. It sucks I live way up north so the temp doesn't help much ...
Have you simulated the pft2 straight through? I can do each item individually (sprint, push-ups, sit-ups, run), but after the sprint I can't get all the sit-ups (I simulated the test yesterday). I'll have it in time, it's been good motivation to work out, if nothing less.
