    1. Do they really need the physical address of your creditors for the financial disclosure report?
    2. Do I have to get my fingerprints done in a police precint? or I can go to a private company that provides that as a service? I am aware that I will need to use the card provided by CBP.

Any information will be appreciated! Thanks!
Yes you can go to a private company, as long they have a license.

      • For those already going through the hiring process, can you apply to this new announcement and choose a different port without causing delay?

Well, you will be basically starting from scratch. Your previous progress will be reset if you apply for the new announcement. But if you want to change locations and start over, that is the way to go

Per the CBPO announcement: "If you are currently in the hiring process or have recently applied to an entry level CBP Officer announcement; reapplying to this announcement will override your current application."

          • Forget that. I'll stick to my location. It isn't in the end of the world for me. Just thought I'd ask.

i was told that whatever you done trabsfers over as long as it hasn't expired. So if you reapply and already did the VBT/SI and the medical for example and it hasn't been a year it will transfer over. My gf did it when it was open a few months ago and her VBT/SI medical transferred over as well as her test scores.

What Action said is true. According to the announcement "Exam scores prior to June 2014 are not valid" so Cur would need to retake the entrance exam since he is a 2013 applicant.

                    • For those applying to the CBPO announcement that opened today; two things you need to take a look.

They will close the announcement when ever they reach 12000 applicants or by oct 6, whichever come first.

Also in red saids: "many of the current vacancies are along the Southwest Border. The majority of the selections will be made for positions along Southwest Border"

                      Why im telling you this.

One like i said before location is key and can speed up your process.

Two when I apply back in May, 3 days later they close the announcement due to many applicants. I almost missed it. So if you really want to apply do it quickly!!!

                      GOOD LUCK!

Is it a good or bad thing that you don't see your region in the new announcement? I would see it as a bad thing as it means there's no hiring demand in that area now.

I see West Coast has openings, so I'm hoping I can get into one of those.

I have already received a tsl for the region. So it is good for myself and others that were selected as they won't be adding anymore to the hiring process.

What's the link to the new announcement?
I would see it as a good thing because that means they have us to process into the regions we chose before having other applicants come in the way.
