      baraj,

I know. Every few months I call MHC and they tell me that that will be the last thing checked off. I don't know what makes me any diffrent.

Are you qualifying based on education or experience. My quals were completed very quickly. I qualified based on education.

Lucky. I have a feeling since my transcripts have to be sent separately from the TO paperwork, they don't worry about it until the very end.

I qualified based on experience and that part actually never got updated in CASS. I got a letter stating I'd passed everything at the GS-7 level before it ever got updated. Next time I checked I'd been removed from the system and there's a note I was sent on to TSU. They probably updated it a second before they wiped it.

            • Hello folks. I've been trolling the forum for awhile now as I have gone through the process. This week my investigator came for my BI and it seemed to go well. My only problem I can forsee is that I had a misdemeanor DWI 7 years ago and I'm a little concerned about it. He seemed to think it wouldn't prevent me from being accepted but I was just wondering if anyone here personally knows of someone with a DWI who has been accepted or rejected. Thanks for any and all replies.

                Shawal,

I'm going on experience. It won't be a problem, I would just like it checked off.

I'm guessing this is usually done in the major cities or am I wrong? I live in Maine so I'm assuming I will have to travel to Boston for this. Anyone know if that is the case?

That's why I asked the question; I live in Sacramento but I have a feeling that San Francisco is where I'm gonna have to go to do it. Ugh.

                    • Hello folks,
Any LA testers out there? I went for my fitness/physical today and I was told I had high blood pressure problem. Good thing that I had a doctor's note with me stating that I'm under treatment and was able to perform the fitness test. I know some people here had their physical today. How did it go for you guys?

                      Good luck..

                        DUDE...

Don't you even complaint!...... I live in Madera, and I had to drive down to Long Beach to do my VBT and when I was done they told me I had to report to a Lab to do the Drug test, there as well.
My VBT was at CBP HQ (Fed Bdg.) in down town Long Beach. So buck up cowboy your drive isn't that bad... Mine was 5hr + one way with LA traffic!

That's silly, why didn't they have you go to San Francisco? It's half the distance; Are you really only allowed to take the VBT at the port you apply for?

Also, Don't expect any pity here; As soon as I get The Call I get to make the glamorous 9 hour drive to San Diego. You have to drive TO Los Angeles. I have to drive THROUGH it!

I am afraid to ask; what do they consider high? Are they going by hypertension guidelines of 140/90 or are they going by pre-hypertension guidelines of over 120/80?

I don't believe that my health is "that bad" but after being through this process for only 2 months I am starting to feel like it is...

Agreed. If it comes down to them sending me down there, I guess there's no two ways about it. Depending on how far in advance they send the letter to schedule the VBT, I'd just as soon fly down there; If I can book it in advance far enough it would probably end up being the same price as driving down there or at least just a bit more, and would make it a 2.5 hour round trip rather than an 18 hour round trip.

Good luck to you too, and rock that NOPA response.
