Submitted my e-qip Saturday night. Just got scheduled for medical on 8/27/14.
They have contracts with third party centers. Wherever they tell you to go you go.

Yes there is WIFI. Last time I was there they had different pay options based on how long you would be there. I believe there is a 5 day option and a 30 day option and maybe one more but can't remember. I want to say I payed for the 30 day options for something like 29 bucks.

      • there is a 3 month option for 99.00 as well. Each barracks have the option to Purchase PER device. So if you put on laptop it wont work on phone.

WC. I EOD at LAX on Monday. I'm not exactly sure how long the BI took, but I want to say about a month. I had 3 BI's. One for work references, supervisors, co-workers. Another who interviewed my personal references and myself. And a third who spoke with my neighbor face-to-face and my wife over the phone.

              • New to the forum and the field of LE in general. Currently working in nursing, applied to the 14-1 position and am at the med/PFT1 stage. My Med/PFT are scheduled in different facilities in different cities and I will have to travel almost 2 hours for the PFT. By no means am I complaining I'm just curious as to how much travel will be involved with the rest of the process. Can anyone provide some insight into this regarding VBT (Midwest), Poly, drug test (is it done near a city where you live?) Been enjoying this forum as I go about this exciting process!

                • How long does it take from time you submit your paperwork until you know if you are accepted to take the entrance exam? I applied late July and was told if I met qualifications and was told that I am qualified to take the test that I would be expected to test between September 5th and the 25th. Here it is August 19th. I know it's on the federal time scale which can be slow but just wanted an idea of the usual time frame. Also because of my hopefulness I have been getting in the gym 4 days a week plus my usual schedule of playing rugby. Will that help much on the PFT's?
                  Thanks

I'm currently in the KCMO area. Both my MED/PFT1 are at the same location in Kansas City. My VBT/SI is scheduled in Denver, CO. I had two choices to pick when I applied for 14-1 and the only ones that were close to me were Denver or Chicago.
