Does anyone know what date the 14-1 announcement came out exactly?

On the Announcement post, AND from my co-workers at my port. They both stated the changes went into effect after June 2014.
Maybe different by location? But highly doubtful.

Also this is right from CBP's website.

          • I also just received an e-mail stating I am eligible to begin the process (14-2)
Do you need to score a high enough score to move on to the next phase or what?

Make sure to check your junk mail. Same thing happened to me, and I checked my junk mail and there it was lol. Emails hardly ever go to my junk mail but for some reason it did...

                • 14-1 came out the first week of May. I also seen the asterisk at the bottom which is why I posted that the step test was replaced with the 1.5 mile run. But I guess we wont know for sure until 14-1 applicants do there PFT1.

I notice it says "projected for July 2014".

Do we know if Customs has infact changed it to the step test or if the "projected" date came and went?(Either way I am prepared for both, just curious if anyone knows)

side step- 8 line touches- 10 secs, 2 trials

Correction; you have to score 80 or over to pass the test. Push ups and sit ups-all you can do in 1 minute. Perform many as you can in that minute and you will get a high score.
Side steps-All you can do in 10 seconds. If you make 6 or less you will not receive points. Lift lower 50 pounds 8 cycles 1 min. If you do it quickly, you will get extra points.

The only part that you didn't receive point is in the step test, because is pass or fail.
I don't remember exactly but if get less than 15 push ups you will score 0. I recommend to make all you can. I'm not an athletic person and I score 101. But with 80 you pass. I took it on April, 29 2014.

Here is some more info with scoring. It's dated 2009 but I think it gives you a pretty good idea of expectations.

Talked to MHC today and they claim that they basically scraped the contract to change over to the 1.5 mile run for PFT-1 due to the fact that you still have to do it for the PFT-2.

PFT is push ups, sit ups, side step test, lift and lower, and step test. I was reading that they will be replacing the step test with the 1.5 mile run, however, I just took my PFT yesterday and still had to take the step test. I guess they will make that change later on in the year.
