Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and have been reading the posts. I got the following e-mail yesterday too:
Duty Location:
CBP - West Coast
This notice is to inform you that you have been tentatively selected to begin the pre-employment process for the position of Customs and
Border Protection Officer, with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
I applied not knowing too much about this position. Can anyone comment on whether this is a "good job", are people generally happy or miserable? How often do you get step/job grade increases, and what are promotion opportunities like. Seems like it could be fun...i'm a small guy so little unsure about the medical/fitness and or FLETC. I am currently living in Mass but applied for West Coast since I didn't want to go to go to a northern border where there are more moose than people!
Look forward to continue reading this forum.
