I don't think there is much "plain and simple" with anything related to the government or it's policies. I agree it may or may not be used as more of a slang term, but, none the less it does exist. However it probably was the case not too many years ago that it did not exist. But, like previously mentioned I believe there have been Supreme Court rulings that have changed things.....

Hi Fellows,
is there anybody on this forum who have or know someone who have gone through the selective service verification process? If so how long did it take for the MHC / OPM to make a decision?
I wasn't obliged to register for selective service and was exempted by the selective service system yet OPM is conducting a full-fledged investigation to verify just that claim before i can proceed. It's been almost 9 weeks and iam still waiting on the verification results. can anybody please share his/her experience with me? The waiting is making me quite anxious lately. Thanks a lot
