Congrats to both of you on passing. I take mine tomorrow at 830 and if I pass I'll start EOD on Monday in San Ysidro. For the push ups and sit-ups once you completed the minimum do you stay in the ready position until a minute is over or try to do more ?

They stop you when you hit the required amount. go first. Extra breathe/stretch time while other applicants are doing theirs ontop of the 5 minutes they give you.

          • With out any details on what goes in there are they looking for customer service type mentality or show of authority for the VBT.
As I keep reading previous LEO failing.
            Make me nervous.
            Thanks.

I would say a combination of both. As a CBPO you need to be able to take charge, yet still treat all with dignity and professionalism (remember you are mostly dealing with the general public, not street thugs). And yes I passed it.

The VBT, SI and the poly are all best taken cold, without pre-conceptions. One of the biggest problems is that there's far too much chatter about them all out there and that there's far too many people out there that attempt to modifying their natural reactions to the tests by following "internet advice", much of it being faulty or of little worth.

That very much skews the testing...and seldom skews it in favor of the testee.

You'd be best with clearing your head of anything "advice" you've gleaned, taking the test blind and giving honest answers to the questions based on your personal experience and background.

It's not bad news, you still have a chance. God's willing you will do good next time.

Kattle, I'm waiting to hear the good news on you passing pft today. I pulled a muscle running yesterday and I have to stop for couple days to heal

                      • I have two questions:

                        1. The residency document that's attached to financial disclosure. At the bottom, it wants you to list the countries you visited in the past 3 years. If I haven't visited any countries, do I leave those boxes blank or just type in NA?

                        2. As for unemployment gaps, should I enter it this way, for example: from 07/2004-11/2005.

                        Thanks

                          • I am in the same issue, joshk24 & jdmgreg. I called a few days ago and the medical ppl said they have already sent it back to CBP. So I called them and they say it's with the nurse and it could take up to 6-12 weeks.

                            • Hey all. I passed the PFT2 today.
                              220 Yard Sprint - 32.93
                              Sit Ups - 31 seconds
                              Push Ups - 20 seconds
                              1.5 Mile Run - 11 minutes 38 seconds

It was easier than I expected. There were 8 CBP and 9 BP there. They had us assigned a certain order and so we took turns doing each thing so we got more rest which was nice. The very first guy on the 220 Sprint pulled a hamstring and so he was automatically DQed. I met three other people there EODing with me and going to the academy with me so with them and the people I've met on here I'll at least know some people to help cope with the huge change.

You'll do fine Jade. Just keep up the training.
