You just got 2 days between your PFT2 and EOD? Is this typical? It puts you in really awkward situation if you are working where you still have to turn in your exit notice to your current employer. I'd only notify my employer once I clear the PFT2. This is really tricky.

I work for a summer camp for children. This is my third summer so they know me really and before getting hired this summer I told them I may be leaving for customs. So they knew. I let them know last week so they are aware. We have plenty of counselors able to fill my position. But yeah I totally get where you're coming from. If I was working at a job such as Target, Vons, etc I can see that time frame being an issue.

Jade. You've been in this process for a long time. This isn't a job it is a career that you will have for the rest of your life. And to be a federal agent at that. You've been in the process a long time but others that I met at the drug test had been for 3 years. Feel blessed for the position you are in. Start slow. Begin running for 20 minutes a day. And maybe every week after add 5 minutes. Run 5 days a week. Put music on or a tv show and just listen. You are at the end of the road. At FLETC you'll have all of us to train with and provide motivation. This is an opportunity of a lifetime. Don't regret it later.

Jade, my motivation is that maybe someday I'll get the call. If and when that day ever comes, I'll be ready even if they tell me my pft2 is the next day. I don't want to be the person that waits till the last minute to start running. I hate running but have been doing it ever since I applied for the position. Self motivation should be all you need. Don't take this opportunity for granted.

The fitness standards are so easy it wouldn't make any difference.

As far as I know they are the same for all.

Dont know about your class, but we got smoked so bad day before our 1st FGS, 2 people went to medical, and other 10 or so failed FGS. So I highly recommend that you are in shape before FLETC.

In shape in what way. Endurance running? Or weight lifting?

Sat down with the bi today on a short notice...got off work, he called and i met him a few hours later..he knows some of my contacts and other firefighters i work with...hes local and is in a lowrider car club with some of my buddies...he said it should be quick and easy..more waiting for now.

I took the poly on 6/25/14. Met him for the first time today (7/2/14). So one week? Hope it goes quick! And thanks.
