      • Well I passed my vbt and had the si afterwards. Now its up to HQ to make the final decision. Vbt was interesting. I thought I did good, even though I got tongue twisted a couple of times. I guess they're not looking for anyone to be 100% perfect, but still able to pass.

as for the SI, I thought I did well. I didn't stutter, I spoke well, and used big words, lol. It seemed pretty easy.

hopefully I passed them. Is it rare for HQ to fail you if you passed the vbt and passed, and had the SI?

I'm excited to move onto the next step, and I'm confident I'll get the eligible rating! Good luck, everyone!

        • My BI just called again this morning, he asked about an address of a job I had before, which I worked for a week only. Is this normal?

Congrats. As an FYI: A panel of 3 officers will review your VBT/SI material at the MHC and they are the ones who make the determination if you are eligible or not not the officers you met during the process itself. I'm sure you will be fine though .

I'm sure others here might have a more exact explanation, but from what my BI explained to me about the process is that they submit everything through a computer program to HQ. Once HQ receives it they conduct a screening of everything, to make sure everything is complete. If they find any missing info, areas that need clarification, etc...they email the BI and tell him to get the needed info. So at least that means they are reveiwing all of your things.

thanks, I'm staying positive. I had two officers review my tape. I know cbp officers are very professional, especially the ones today I've encountered, so I'm hoping their judgment on me passing the vbt are good enough for HQ.

I'm just hoping there's a small % of applicants having done the vbt/si and having HQ fail them.

My BI asked me to retype a statement on one of the forms and initial it. He said that they have been pushing my case twice and comes back because of this issue. I hope this will be the last time before I get cleared. I don't know if I will be called again from the adjudication branch or this is it.

                              • I have the same issue as Jade with multiple recontacts from my BI. My investigator keeps contacting me because he forgot to ask questions, or he calls me to ask me how to do things since I do this currently for a living. It is getting quite annoying, so I expecting that any EOD would be in August now due to this.
